The Song Of Japanese Autumn The Oregon Mandolin Orchestra
Uploaded to new YouTube Channel--Februrary 2019
“The Song of Japanese Autumn,” by Yasuo Kuwahara, a renowned composer of pieces for mandolin and guitar, evokes the struggle of farmers in the early fall, when the changing weather brings howling gales and heavy showers. The Oregon Mandolin Orchestra rehearsed for months to capture the upheaval Kuwahara described, resulting in an emotionally charged performance.
This performance is from the Diack Farm Concert Series in Cottrell, Oregon on July 30, 2016.
